WASHINGTON, D.C. – I said back in March, I think, that I was done with her, but Cindy now has decided to use insurance money to buy land in Crawford to bitch at the President. Now, as a conservative I have no problems with her doing what she wishes with, what is now her money. (Of course I disagree with it, but I would not prevent it.) My problem involves the newsletter she is going to send.

"We decided to buy property in Crawford to use until George's resignation or impeachment, which we all hope is soon for the sake of the world," Sheehan said in a newsletter set to be sent to supporters Thursday. "I can't think of a better way to use Casey's insurance money than for peace, and I am sure that Casey approves."

If your son was a peace activist then yes I am sure he would approve. The fact that he willingly and honorably decided to serve in the US military says to me he would not want the last thing he was able to give to you, spent to attempt to tear apart his CINC. The one he swore to obey.

You know what Cindy, I have an idea what would be great for the sake of the world… it involves you, Siberia, and no forms of communication back to the US or media. We all can dream can’t we? Maybe if my loved ones have to claim insurance money upon my death I can tell them I wish for it to be spent making your life a living hell Cindy.

You are a nutty wack-o that is unable to understand the military and its need. Don’t attempt to speak for us that wear the uniform saying that is the best way to spend money. Why don’t you give it to families that lost a father or mother? Or create a fundraising organization to help such families or injured soldiers? Why won’t you? Uh, well I have held back long enough. You won’t because you are a misguided bitch. (Go ahead liberals accuse me of calling names and personal attacks, cause that was one.)

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On this lovely Sunday afternoon I just want to draw your attention to two wonderful stories that show how much the “we support the troops just not this war” group really support them. The photo is just from one of those anti-war shirt sites on the net, insinuating that the US trains terrorists… as in our military is a bunch of terrorists. I felt it helped sum up the sentiments of the anti-military wacko asses.

Story one: Slain G.I.’s ma spurs anti-war T-shirt ban

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - A woman whose Marine son died while serving in Iraq is fighting to keep his name off anti-war T-shirts.

Judy Vincent learned last year that Cpl. Scott Vincent's name is among about 1,700 included on a T-shirt being sold by an Arizona man over the Internet. The front of the shirt reads "Bush Lied" and the back reads "They Died."

The woman, whose son was killed in April 2004, pushed for Oklahoma legislators to pass a law that makes it a misdemeanor to use a soldier's name or likeness for advertising purposes without consent. The law goes into effect this November.

The shirt vendor, Dan Frazier of Flagstaff, Ariz., issued an open letter to family members praising the soldiers' bravery and sacrifice, but said he would not stop selling the merchandise.

Ah, nothing like ignoring the wishes for someone to stop using your lost loved one’s name without permission in a way you do not support at all. The man is so thankful for the “bravery and sacrifice” because now he can bash Bush and make money off that sacrifice. What a truly patriotic man.

Story two: ACLU Sues for Anti-Gay Group That Pickets at Troops’ Burials

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- A Kansas church group that protests at military funerals nationwide filed suit in federal court, saying a Missouri law banning such picketing infringes on religious freedom and free speech.

The American Civil Liberties Union filed the lawsuit Friday in the U.S. District Court in Jefferson City, Mo., on behalf of the fundamentalist Westboro Baptist Church, which has outraged mourning communities by picketing service members' funerals with signs condemning homosexuality.

because the United States tolerates gay men and lesbians…

Thank God we have the ACLU to support such disgraceful people. What the hell is the deal with the ACLU? Let me see they sue for gay rights last week, this week they sue FOR gay-bashers. And people wonder why the court system is so tied up in this country. It is thanks to groups like the ACLU that are lawsuit happy, even if it involves putting more pain into suffering people’s lives. How does this crap not qualify as the beloved "hate speech" liberals love to talk about?

I would find it interesting to see them protest at a Cindy Sheehan rally, letting her know that it isn’t Bush’s fault her son died… it is the homosexuals that did it to her son. I wonder what her response would be. To a normal person BOTH are wrong. As much as I disdain Cindy and think she is a traitor at least she doesn’t seem to get her jollies from crashing funerals. Brownie point for Cindy and the “one finger salute” to the ACLU and the so called inbred church.

I thought the military was racist!

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Hold on a second. I thought that the Department of Defense was racist and only sends the poor inner-city “kids” and mostly black off to war to die? Apparently those that don’t believe the DoD’s numbers (figure 3) that showcase that the numbers of poor joining is going down and the middle-class enlistment is going up… now have an unlikely opponent. The NAACP. Please let me see someone on the left try and accuse the NAACP as being in the Administrations or DoD’s pocket.

“The NAACP honored Defense Department military and civilian personnel who made outstanding contributions to equal opportunity in the armed forces during the civil rights organizations 31st Annual Armed Services and Veterans Affairs Awards dinner [on] July 18.”

But this is a one time thing, just now this is happening with all the pressure right?

“Green told the more than 400 attendees that the NAACP appreciates the role the Defense and Veterans Affairs Departments have historically played in the advancement of women and minorities.”

OK, so when others accuse the military of treating minorities poorly what else can you call that but a lie? If the NAACP thinks that minorities are getting a fair shake when joining the military and the progress does nothing but grow… well not that I needed to be told but that should put the nail in the coffin of the “taking the youth of the inner-city and shoving them in a job they really don’t want and won’t go anywhere because they are left with no options in life but to die in the military” argument.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – First it was stealing the credit records of a black republican senatorial candidate on the DSCC side, now they see fit to use the image of flag draped coffins to raise money on the congressional side. This is quite disgusting, I know many on the left think it is fine. Although it is very funny to me that after the anti-military anti-Bush side, the uplifting music cues and step in Democrats. And what is one of the first things? A MILITARY PILOT TAKING OFF AND GIVING A THUMBS UP!

So instead of taking one path they are going with both. Most on the right get military families that support them and go the positive route. Well the left seems fine with USING the flag draped coffins and at the same time say “look the military is giving us a thumbs up.” Do they want us dead or alive… To those who developed, decided what to place in the ad, and those who support this ad and all contained within I am now formally lost on their patriotism. There I said it. Does that mean they do not have the right to, no. I have the right to join the KKK, that does not make it right.

Do you want the military dead so you can show their coffins? Or alive so you can use clips taken out of context? Out of context you say… yes I do! Because that situation happens when the pilot gives a thumb up to the crew to let him know he is ready for takeoff. They would like you to believe he is giving a thumbs up to the democrats. I doubt there is any military pilot that would ask for his image to be used to raise money by having his image come moments after showing the flag draped coffins. THE VIDEO

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Rarely… I mean rarely do I ever encourage the United States of America to take a path in changing our ways based on another countries. However, I have found one that we should. We already have non-disclosure agreements you must sign when dealing with classified information. But I’d like a few people to look at the Official Secrets Act 1989 of England.

While much of it is very similar to our laws and regulations currently in effect, there are some quick points I want to highlight:

“[2](2) For the purposes of subsection (1) above a disclosure is damaging if… (c) it is of information or of a document or article which is such that its unauthorised disclosure would be likely to have any of those effects.”

“[3](5) In this section "international relations" means the relations between States, between international organisations or between one or more States and one or more such organisations and includes any matter relating to a State other than the United Kingdom or to an international organisation which is capable of affecting the relations of the United Kingdom with another State or with an international organisation.
(6) For the purposes of this section any information, document or article obtained from a State or organisation is confidential at any time while the terms on which it was obtained require it to be held in confidence or while the circumstances in which it was obtained make it reasonable for the State or organisation to expect that it would be so held.”

The revised version repealed the use of “national or public interest” as a defense for releasing such information. I am sorry but I am sick of story after story coming up and being published. It only gives information to the enemy and certainly makes other countries wary of working with us on top level security issues. What is the lefts response, “we need more oversight.” I am fine with oversight, but the problem is that they seem to think that oversight means gaining information that they can use in press conferences to trash efforts made to fight this war. If they could keep their mouth shut and do the oversight behind closed doors… fine, that is how they should do it.

Don’t worry, my anger is not only towards the left and the press. I certainly believe they are being irresponsible, but they are being irresponsible with information given to them from a source with privileged information. Why are we not nailing the people revealing this information? I just don’t understand it. It is nice to talk about “going after leakers” but how about the DoJ actually do it?

We should track down leakers giving out classified information like candy on Halloween, but we get talk. But you get someone stealing the recipe for Coke, and you get nailed to the wall? Corporate espionage is a high priority for the courts, REAL espionage… not so much.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – I expect the left to tout this as “Fox News propaganda.” Last month their argument “there were no WMDs” seemed to hit a bump in the road with the declassification of DoD documents showing that WMDs were found, ones Saddam pledged he had destroyed.

Now, there seems to be a Saddam-Taliban connection. I will not go as far as to say that they were allies, but he certainly was not opposed to them. “Fox News and Robison last week revealed the contents of a 1999 notebook kept by an Iraqi Intelligence Service (IIS) operative. That notebook detailed how Saddam's agents aggressively pursued and entered into a diplomatic, intelligence, and security arrangement with the Taliban and Islamist extremists operating in Afghanistan — years before the 9/11 attacks.”

Will SWIFT become "SLOW and stopped"? [UPDATED]

WASHINGTON, D.C. – We have heard now for a week that the NYT did no damage to the war with its SWIFT story. Why? Because everyone knew about it, including the terrorists. Well apparently they were sorely mistaken. And I suggest that if the Government of Belgium was surprised, maybe terrorists were as well. The left commenter’s have gone around saying “it has a website.”

Yes, SWIFT has a website. You know what else has a website: the White House, FBI, CIA, DIA, Pentagon, just about every military base, etc. Now I am not advocating getting rid of the sites, but there is a HUGE difference between having a site and disclosing what goes on behind the walls. Just because the CIA has a website you want all their actions disclosed on the front page of the NYT? I guess since the Pentagon has a website all troop movements should show up on the front page. Your bank has a website, how about putting your personal information up... stop the privacy bitching. I respond: "It has a WEBSITE." In the lefts world, you got a website we want to know everything!

As with other stories of this nature, you might as well stick a fork in it:

Before you accuse me of being a pawn in the game and just wanting to cover things up, that is not what I am doing. But when you start to investigate a classified action, the bits and pieces will tumble out courtesy of leaks. This program is at the minimum on life support, and possibly in full cardiac arrest. And the point I have made that might be the worst damage is the fact that other covert portions of Governement's won't feel safe working with us, thanks to the leakers and those that are more than willing to use such information.

"Why should any company in any country cooperate with the United States? Its assistance will almost certainly become a major liability once the New York Times splashes the details all over its front page."

Hip hip horaah for Keller. What a treasure he is for America, sorry... those on the left that hate Bush. Even Murtha of all people asked him not to publish it, are people going to start saying that he is really a moderate democrat that is on Bush’s side?

More and more lost I become, I thought everyone knew about this program NYT!? It has actually been around for years, but according to you just over half a year ago it didn't exist. I can surely see how so many would feel everyone was aware. Did it ever occur to these people that we don't want the world knowing our strategy, who is involved, and how in depth the ongoing work is?

Public Good?

I am not saying that the press has done anything illegal, or anything could be done about this. And in this case there are many other ways to gain such information. But does the NYT really need to be disclosing where top Government officials have homes? What public good does it do?

I just don't get the reason behind making it easier for people who are already targets, to get tracked down.
